SUSTAINABILITY MATTERS
We care
At Qolord, we're passionate about creating real good products while taking care of our planet. We want to be known for the quality of products we deliver, not the waste we add to the planet.
We consider the actions we take to ensure our footprint leaves more eco-friendly mark. That means being aware of the processes and resources in the supply chain - production, materials, packaging and shipping.
Product quality & durability
The better the quality of the product, the longer it lasts. We choose products and materials that are long-lasting through many wash cycles as well as of high-quality.
Eco-friendly materials
1/3 of our products are created from recycled fabrics. When we choose suppliers, we look for safe and sustainable practices, and 100% ethically sourced materials with minimal environmental impact. We plan on continuing to launch more eco-friendly products and replace the current materials with eco-friendly alternatives.
Packaging
1/3 of our products are shipped only in recycled packaging. When you buy items created and packaged from recycled materials, you literally help reducing landfills of wasted resources, as recycling saves virgin resources and requires less energy, minimizing the environmental impact plastic has on our planet.
Shipping
Working with a "made to order" model we ship only once thus reducing energy and pollution for moving stock around. We prefer delivery partners who optimize scheduling and shipping routing to reduce emissions produced by vehicles.
"Made to order" production
Around 85% of all textiles or 92 million tonnes of discarded items every year produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage. That means one in every five garments reaches a landfill or get burned without being worn even once.
Our goal is to provide a less wasteful way of production through "made to order".
On-demand manufacturing is a process where goods are produced only when they're needed and in the quantities required. "Made to order" model is an environmental game-changer:
- no wasted stock and excess materials left over
- no wasted energy and water
- reduced pollution in production and shipping
- higher quality for each and every produced item
- more ethical and sustainable approach to manufacturing
- eliminated costly inventory, delivery and overhead costs
